A combination of symphonic Prog in the tradition of Genesis, Yes and Jethro Tull and 70's hard rock/metal a'la Deep Purple and Black Sabbath but also with influences from Scandinavian & Celtic Folk and with occasional hints of Jazz. The focus of Salva's music is always on the melodies first and foremost but there is always room for hard riffing and technical flash.
 
Quick Bio :-
The long lasting friendship of Stefan and Per goes way back to the early 80's when they were 7 or 8 years old. In their early teens they found they shared a burning passion for music and formed their first band "Snigeln Välter" playing mostly hard rock and heavy metal covers.Later on Per met Johan and they gelled instantly, Johan proved to be a gifted keyboardist and was recruited to the band. The three of them have since the early 90's played the live circuit of south westen Sweden under the "Stämband"-moniker focusing on mostly straight rock music. In 2003 the forming of Salva focusing on prog-oriented music was initiated by Per and late that year the recording of the debut album "A handful of earth" began. The album was released in the autumn of 2004.
The writing and recording of a follow up album has begun and there are also plans to recruit a bass player and a drummer.
